Main Accountabilities
This role will support the tactical and strategic mission of the PGGA SCM teams for North America. This role will be key in supporting the development of processes and tools while reducing lead time, cost, and improving supplier quality. Collaboration with Category Management and Buyers is key to the success of this role along with proactiveness and problem-solving skills are high priority to succeed in this role. The expectation is this role will help to expand the support and knowledge of supply chain across the PGGA business, supporting all business requirements. They must work extremely closely with the local NAM team.

Proficiency in procurement tools, contract management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
In-depth knowledge of supply chain management principles, strategic sourcing methodologies, and market analysis.
Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills.
Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment, demonstrate initiative, and drive continuous improvement in sourcing processes.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Collaborative mindset and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Proactiveness and problem-solving skills are high priority to succeed in this role.

Dimensions
- Support the local Category Management team to Develop and Execute Sourcing Strategies:
- Formulate and implement comprehensive sourcing strategies aligned with Hitachi Energy's business objectives and sustainability goals.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, risk mitigation, and process optimization through strategic sourcing initiatives.
- Support the local NAM team in Supplier Identification, Registration and Evaluation:
- Conduct market research and supplier assessments to identify and qualify potential suppliers, ensuring they meet Hitachi Energy's quality and sustainability standards.
- Evaluate supplier performance and capabilities and establish long-term partnerships with key suppliers.
- Support the local NAM team in Negotiations and Contract Management:
- Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure advantageous agreements in terms of pricing, quality, delivery, and contractual terms.
- Draft, review, and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with Hitachi Energy's policies and legal standards.
- Collaborative Cross-Functional Work:
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, including engineering, production, sales, and tendering teams, to understand and address procurement needs.
- Provide expertise and guidance to cross-functional teams in supplier selection, contract management, and procurement best practices.
- Risk Management and Compliance:
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including geopolitical, regulatory, and quality-related concerns.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and ethical standards in all sourcing activities.
