Job Description
As an Assistant Manager in the Sales & Distribution department, you will be responsible for driving sales and distribution for the business by effectively managing and developing a team. You will be expected to understand and implement company strategies and manage the day-to-day operations of your sales region. You will be responsible for achieving sales targets, maintaining customer relationships, and ensuring effective visibility of the company's products.
Principal Accountabilities
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive sales growth in the assigned area.
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the sales department.
Monitor and analyze performance metrics and suggest improvements.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts.
Stay up-to-date with new product launches and ensure sales team members are on board.
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
Negotiate and close agreements with large customers.
Monitor competition within the assigned region.
Prepare and deliver regular sales reports to senior management.
Provide guidance and insight to the sales team, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement.
Ensure the sales team is driving towards achieving company objectives and goals.
Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure the company's brand is effectively represented in the market.
Handle any escalated customer service issues.
Foster a well-functioning and positive team environment.
The Assistant Manager will be expected to have a deep understanding of the company's products and processes, as well as a strong knowledge of domestic trade. Strong negotiation, networking, and analytical skills are a must, along with a global mindset, business acumen, and a focus on people excellence and entrepreneurship.
