Job Description
As an Area Sales Officer, you will be responsible for managing sales and distribution operations within a specified region for our domestic business. You will be expected to have a deep understanding of our products and processes, and use this knowledge to drive sales and meet targets. You will also be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including customers and distributors.
Principal Accountabilities
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive sales growth in the assigned area.
Monitor and analyze performance metrics and suggest improvements.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts.
Perform research and identify new potential customers and new market opportunities.
Provide timely and effective solutions aligned with clients’ needs.
Liaise with Marketing and Product Development departments to ensure brand consistency.
Stay up-to-date with new product launches and ensure sales team members are on board.
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
Negotiate and close agreements with large customers.
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the sales department.
Network with key customers to identify and address specific needs.
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within the community.
Provide insight into market trends and competitor activity.
Develop and implement strategies for new products and services.
Determine and track key KPIs.
Provide leadership and direction to the sales team, including hiring and training new team members.
Ensure all team members represent the company in the best light.
Forecast quarterly and annual profits.
Analyze market trends and discover new opportunities for growth.
Address potential problems and suggest prompt solutions.
Participate in decisions for expansion or acquisition.
Suggest new services/products and innovative sales techniques to increase customer satisfaction.
