Sr. Software Engineer - Cloud

The Opportunity:

ECI is seeking a personable, enthusiastic, and qualified Sr. Software Engineer - Cloud to join our Cloud Services Technology team. In this role, We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Engineer with expertise in both AWS and Azure, strong network engineering skills, and experience working with Managed Service Providers (MSPs) for on-prem network devices to join our dynamic team.

This is an Onsite role.

What you will do:

• Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and integration.
• Develop and maintain network architecture, including VPCs, subnets, routing tables, and security groups.
• Collect requirements, design service & resource configuration, and implement configuration for AWS & Azure resource/services.
• Configure and manage VPNs, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, and other network connectivity solutions.
• Implement and manage cloud-based firewalls, palo alto firewalls, load balancers, Meraki switches/access points, and other network security measures.
• Monitor and optimize network performance, ensuring low latency and high availability.
• Collaborate with MSPs remotely to transition client’s existing on-prem network devices, ensuring seamless integration with cloud infrastructure.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, and ARM templates.
• Experience working with network scanning tools to determine access points & potential vulnerabilities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues in a timely manner.
• Monitor cloud infrastructure using AWS CloudWatch, AWS X-Ray, and Logic Monitor (preferred)
• Implement and manage security measures, including IAM roles, policies, and encryption.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and regulations.
• Stay up to date with the latest cloud and network engineering trends, technologies, and best practices.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
  
  

Who you are:

• 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering with a focus on AWS and Azure.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and more.
• Proficiency in Azure services such as Azure VMs, Azure Blob Storage, Azure SQL Database & SQL Managed Instance, and Azure Functions.
• Strong expertise in network engineering, including designing and managing complex network architectures.
• Proficiency in configuring and managing VPNs, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, and other network connectivity solutions.
• Experience with cloud-based firewalls, load balancers, and network security best practices.
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and ARM templates.
• Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Proven experience working with MSPs to manage on-prem network devices and ensure seamless integration with cloud infrastructure.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
