Job Responsibilities

  • Figuring out the technical needs to team members and solving the technical aspects of their work with them
  • Document/create processes
  • Communicating any new features or processes with the team
  • Write clean, test driven, easily maintainable, modular code
  • Troubleshoot and debug applications
  • Perform UI/backend tests to optimize performance
  • Manage cutting-edge technologies to improve legacy applications
  • Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server side logic
  • Gather and address technical and design requirements
  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use
  • Liaise with developers, designers and system administrators to identify new features
  • Follow emerging technologies
  • Integrate and maintain various API connections
  • Develop various automation processes on various platforms such as Zapier, IFTTT, or simply design manual processes

Job Skills

  • Excellent communication skills geared towards communicating with both technical and non-technical parts of the team, acting as translator where needed
  • Proven work experience with PHP, JS, CSS, HTML
  • Work experience with Laravel and WordPress
  • Experience with Vue.js a strong plus
  • Ability to find patterns to automate redundant manual tasks
  • Linux console skills
  • Familiarity with AWS server architecture
  • In-depth understanding of the entire development process (design, development, QA, deployment)
  • Familiarity with front-end languages and tools (e.g. HTML, JavaScript, CSS, jQuery, etc)
  • Excellent analytical and time management skills
  • Teamwork skills with a resourceful problem-solving attitude
  • Experience using git
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
