Specialist Strategic Buyer

Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Evaluating the demand and source a supplier according to demand
  • Generate and implement efficient sourcing and category management strategies
  • Analyzing and calculating procurement costs and developing cost reduction strategies.
  • Driving purchasing decisions based on cost and scenario analysis, as well as market trends.
  • Negotiating contracts with key suppliers, including costs and terms of supply, service, and quality.
  • Collaborating with the Stakeholders & identify and pursue new supplier opportunities.
  • Conducting market research, as well as creating cost estimates and forecasts.
  • Estimating risks and applying risk minimizing techniques, as well as negotiating contracts that comply with industry
  • Conducting market research, Identifying potential new suppliers as well as creating cost estimates and forecasts.
  • Drive cost optimization
  • Implement & practice improved Procurement processes to support the new Business requirement
  • Act independently to determine Key objective by using define Authorization Matrix & Guideline.

Your Profile / Qualifications

  • Bachelor/Diploma’s degree in Engineering/
  • Certificate course in Materials Mngt
  • 10+ years of Procurement experience
  • Proven working experience as a Strategic Procurement manager at a managerial Level.
  • Experience in collecting and analyzing data
  • Understanding of market dynamics and sound business judgement
  • Good understanding Process improvement
  • Good understanding of contract management, Legal & taxation
  • Detail & working knowledge of SAP MM Module.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Understanding of e-business / e-procurement systems.
  • Business ethics.
  • Ability to communicate effectively through presentations, email, one-on-one, and team discussion
  • Ability as a natural facilitator to enable team-based decisions
  • Time management
  • Agile, Troubleshooting, problem solving.
