Senior Development Manager – Safety One Products (Oracle, India)

Oracle is seeking an accomplished and inspiring Senior Development Manager to lead the Safety One product development team in India. This senior leadership position plays a critical role in delivering innovative, high-quality cloud-based safety solutions while ensuring delivery excellence, operational efficiency, and technical integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing development team, fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and growth-oriented environment.
• Ensure the team delivers high-quality releases on schedule by driving effective planning, monitoring progress, and proactively addressing risks or challenges.
• Maintain and enforce best practices in software development, quality assurance, and release management across the team.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and international stakeholders to align technical initiatives with strategic business objectives.
• Oversee the full product lifecycle—including architecture, design, development, deployment, and post-release support—ensuring adherence to Oracle’s development standards and processes.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement that emphasizes accountability, innovation, and best-in-class engineering practices.
• Champion diversity, inclusion, and professional development opportunities within the team.
  
  
  

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of total experience in software engineering, with a minimum of 5 years in a people management or technical leadership capacity.
• Demonstrated success leading development teams in delivering complex, high-quality software products on time.
• Working knowledge of enterprise application development, preferably using Java and modern web technologies.
• Experience overseeing software development projects using cloud platforms such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or similar technologies.
• Strong focus on setting expectations, monitoring quality, and driving adherence to established development standards and best practices.
• Proven organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence across global teams.
