As a Senior Software Dev Engineer Tester in the Group Disability technology organization, you will be responsible for conducting thorough, hands-on testing to ensure the functionality and quality of our deliverables. You will work closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to identify and resolve issues, ensuring development deliverables meet both functional and user experience standards. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop, document, and maintain functional test cases and other test artifacts such as test data, data validation, and scripts.
- Identify, create, leverage appropriate test data.
- Execute and evaluate manual test cases and report test results.
- Automate and maintain test cases for reusability and regression testing.
- Identify, isolate, and document bugs clearly and concisely.
- Work closely with developers to reproduce and resolve defects.
- Participate in requirements/design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.
- Work collaboratively in an Agile/Scrum team environment.
- Perform regression testing when bugs are resolved.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Technical Skills :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in software testing.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC), software development methodologies, and quality processes.
- Experience with various testing types including functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.
- Proficient in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Experience in test-first practices, including Test Drive Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD)
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing.
- Experience with Tosca and Azure.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Background working in Insurance and/or Financial Services
- API testing and tools like Postman, Rest Client and others
- Experiencing with additional testing automation tools like Selenium, Jira, etc.
