Software Developer, C#/.NET

This role will be working out of our Indore office 5 days a week.

Position Summary

As a Software Developer, you will be part of a product development team maintaining and supporting our Vena Excel Desktop Addin, which is our primary product and is used by most of Vena’s 1,700+ and growing customers. The product is written in C#/.NET.

Using your software development skills, you will contribute to, and sometimes lead, key improvements and upgrades to our code base, including optimizing product performance, improving existing product features, and upgrading libraries. You will also be responsible for supporting the product by resolving bugs and enabling our support teams to resolve issues.

What You Will Do

• Write high-quality, production-ready code, sometimes with guidance from more senior developers
• Improve our product’s performance and make every action quicker to delight our users
• Improve our product by building on existing product features
• Maintain code base by upgrading libraries and resolving tech debt
• Troubleshoot and resolve product defects
• Help build and maintain test automation
• Collaborate with other developers to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines
• Document issues and contribute to our internal team documentation
• Identify opportunities for technical improvements and help to plan and execute those improvements
• Pairs and collaborates with colleagues to achieve team goals together
  
  

Does this sound like you?

• 4+ years of experience in software development in C#/.NET applications
• Prior experience working on Windows desktop applications
• Experience in object-oriented methodologies and design patterns
• Foundational understanding of algorithms and computational complexity
• Prior experience in a Scrum / Agile environment, with a strong culture of collaboration
• You are self-motivated and self-directed
• You are excited at the prospect of working on interesting technology
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building and supporting COM add-ins using .NET interop
• Experience with RESTful APIs, SQL and NoSQL databases
• Knowledge of WPF and LINQ
• Experience with Azure Dev Ops
• Experience with ClickOnce
• Experience in software development in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript
• Prior experience mentoring and coaching others
