As a member of the Block Storage team, you will own the software design and development for core components and features in the Block Storage Service. It would be best if you were a strong programmer and a distributed systems generalist, able to dive deep into any part of the stack and low-level systems and design broad distributed system interactions. Responsibilities
We’re looking for hands-on engineers with expertise and passion in solving difficult problems in distributed systems, virtualized infrastructure, and highly available storage services. As an engineer, you will own the software design and development for major components of the Block Storage Service Infrastructure. You should be both a rock solid coder and a distributed systems generalist, able to dive deep into any part of the management plane stack, as well as design broad distributed system interactions.

Minimum Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience delivering large scale, highly available distributed systems and backend services.
- Extensive experience developing clean code in Java/C++ or similar programming languages and scripting languages such as Python, etc.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, multi-threading and distributed systems fundamentals.
- Working familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP) and standard network architectures.
- Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
- Experience building multi-tenant, virtualized storage infrastructure, data management
