Skipper - Business Analyst

About The Role

We are seeking a highly analytical and results-oriented Business Intelligence Analyst to join our growing team. In this critical role, you will play a key role in leveraging data to drive strategic decision-making across the organization.

You will be responsible for developing data-driven insights, designing and executing experiments, and recommending solutions to optimize business performance.

Responsibilities

• Data Analysis & Insights :
• Develop and execute data analysis plans to extract valuable insights from large datasets.
• Identify trends, patterns, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to inform business strategies.
• Create compelling data visualizations and communicate complex findings to stakeholders at all levels.
• Deepen understanding of customer behavior and market dynamics through data analysis.
• Metrics & Experimentation :
• Design and implement A/B testing and other experiments to measure the impact of new initiatives and processes.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to define and track key business metrics.
• Analyze experimental results and recommend course corrections based on data-driven insights.
• Continuously develop and improve methodologies for data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Ensure data hygiene and implement best practices for data governance.
• Problem-Solving & Recommendations :
• Translate business problems into actionable data analysis questions.
• Utilize data analysis to understand complex business challenges and propose data-driven solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize business needs, KPIs, and reporting requirements.
• Recommend new metrics, techniques, and strategies to improve operational efficiency and financial performance.
• Communication & Collaboration :
• Effectively communicate data-driven insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Partner with cross-functional teams (marketing, sales, operations) to ensure alignment and data-driven decision-making.
• Possess strong written and verbal communication skills to clearly articulate complex data findings.
  
  

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in SQL and data querying languages.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Familiarity with statistical analysis methods and hypothesis testing.
• Strong analytical skills and a passion for working with data.
• Experience with data warehousing and business intelligence concepts (a plus).
• Programming experience with Python or R (a plus).
  
  

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering) or a Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on data analytics (preferred).
• Minimum of 3-6 years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a related field.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
