Job Summary

The Site Head is a critical leadership role responsible for the overall management and successful execution of all activities at the assigned site. This includes overseeing contractors, coordinating with stakeholders, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards, and driving project completion within budget and schedule. The Site Head will act as the primary point of contact for all site-related matters and will be responsible for effective communication with management.

Responsibilities

  • Site Management: Oversee all on-site operations, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow. This includes managing logistics, material flow, and equipment utilization.
  • Contractor Management: Manage and coordinate the work of various contractors, ensuring they adhere to contractual obligations, safety regulations, and project timelines. This includes performance monitoring, dispute resolution, and invoice approvals.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including local authorities, port authorities, site contractors, and internal teams. Effectively communicate project updates and address any concerns.
  • Planning and Execution: Develop and implement site-specific project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies. Monitor progress against these plans and proactively address any deviations.
  • Quality Control: Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure that all work meets the required standards and specifications. Conduct regular inspections and address any non-conformances.
  • Safety Management: Champion a strong safety culture on site. Enforce all safety regulations and procedures, conduct regular safety audits, and ensure that all personnel are adequately trained and equipped. Investigate and report any safety incidents.
  • Reporting and Communication: Provide regular updates to management on project progress, challenges, and risks. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required. Conduct regular site meetings to discuss progress and address any issues.
  • Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve site-related issues and challenges. Escalate complex issues to management as needed.
  • Budget Management: Monitor project expenditures and ensure that work is completed within budget. Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Resource Management: Manage site personnel and resources effectively, including equipment, materials, and tools. Ensure adequate availability of resources to meet project needs.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, permits, and environmental requirements.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including progress reports, inspection records, and safety logs.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance site efficiency and effectiveness.
