Job Title: Service Engineer - ITI/Diploma (Heavy Equipment/Construction Machinery)

Position Summary: The Service Engineer will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heavy machinery, construction equipment, or related machinery. This role requires a proactive problem-solver with hands-on experience in servicing mechanical and electrical systems in heavy equipment. The position is ideal for individuals with a technical background in ITI or a diploma in mechanical, electrical, or related fields.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation & Commissioning:
• Install and commission heavy equipment at customer sites following manufacturer guidelines and safety protocols.
• Conduct pre-delivery inspections to ensure proper equipment functionality before deployment.
• Maintenance & Repairs:
• Perform regular preventive maintenance, including inspection, lubrication, and calibration, to ensure optimal performance and longevity of equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in machinery and carry out timely repairs to minimize downtime.
• Replace or repair defective parts using hand tools, lifting equipment, and diagnostic tools.
• Troubleshooting & Diagnostics:
• Utilize diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot faults and errors in machinery systems, including engines, hydraulics, and electrical components.
• Analyze issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions to resolve equipment failures.
• Customer Support & Training:
• Interact with customers to understand their equipment-related issues and provide guidance on equipment handling, care, and basic maintenance.
• Conduct training sessions for customers on the safe operation and maintenance of machinery.
• Documentation & Reporting:
• Maintain accurate service records, including details of maintenance, repairs, and parts used for each job.
• Prepare and submit service reports after each service or maintenance visit.
• Health & Safety Compliance:
• Adhere to all company and industry safety standards during installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
• Conduct risk assessments and follow all safety procedures to protect oneself and others while working with heavy machinery.
  

Qualifications

• ITI or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field.
• 2+ years of experience in servicing and maintaining heavy equipment or construction machinery (preferred).
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.
• Basic knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools and software.
