Senior Tax Accountant - Australia

Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Tax Accountant with 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in tax return preparation and accounts finalization for various entities. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills and be comfortable interacting directly with Australian managers on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently manage accounts finalization and tax return filing for various entities including companies, individuals, trusts, and partnerships
• Review and analyze financial statements and tax documents for compliance with Australian tax regulations
• Liaise directly with Australian clients/managers via email and calls to discuss queries, clarifications, and deliverables
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of tax returns and related compliance documents
• Stay updated with Australian taxation laws and regulations
• Maintain proper documentation and records of work completed
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth workflow and delivery timelines

Key Requirements:

• Education: CA / Inter CA / MBA (Finance) / M.Com / CMA
• Experience: 3–5 years in taxation and finalization of accounts, preferably for Australian clients
• Strong knowledge of tax concepts and compliance for different entity types
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to interact effectively with international clients
• Proficiency in accounting and tax software
• Ability to work independently with a focus on accuracy and deadlines

Preferred Skills:

• Prior experience working with Australian clients or knowledge of Australian tax systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Time management and organizational skills
