Brief Summary Of Role

Our Integration and API Platform plays a critical role in enabling a modular, scalable architecture across our ecosystem. We are expanding our use of MuleSoft to drive API-led connectivity, integrate backend systems, and support our growing cloud and microservices environment.

As a Senior Software Engineer, MuleSoft (Java) you will lead the design, development, and operational excellence of integrations built on MuleSoft, Java (Spring Boot), and related middleware technologies. You’ll work closely with architects, backend engineers, CI/CD teams, and business stakeholders to deliver robust, reusable, and secure integration flows that ensure high performance, reliability, and scalability across both cloud and on-prem systems.

This role also contributes to enhancing our backend capabilities (MFP, SFP) and supporting platform stability through continuous improvement and innovation.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Delivered a set of high-impact integration projects using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform + Java (Spring Boot), maintaining and implementing CICD-Mulesoft connectivity and orchestration.
• Designed and implemented reusable MuleSoft connectors, integration templates, and frameworks that accelerate future projects following Copado 3.0 architecture.
• Improved integration performance and reliability — measurable reductions in failure rates, improved throughput, faster turnaround on integration changes.
• Ensured strong observability, error-handling, logging and monitoring in the integration layer, leading to quicker incident resolution and fewer production disruptions.
• Participated in building CI/CD pipelines for MuleSoft deployments, working with Copado CICD and QA teams to automate builds, tests, and roll-outs of integration artifacts.
• Mentored all our backend engineers and helped lift the team’s competence in MuleSoft best practices, Java integration patterns, and middleware architecture to avoid having a single point of failure.
• Contributed to strategic road-map discussions for the backend and integration platforms — including API management, versioning strategy, and evolutions of the integration stack.
  
  

We Are Looking For Someone With

• Strong experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (Mule 3.x/4.x), API Manager, Runtime Manager, DataWeave, connectors.
• Proficient in Java (Spring Boot, Spring MVC/REST), middleware/integration patterns (ESB, message queues, event-driven architecture).
• Experience designing and building REST/SOAP APIs, handling authentication/authorization (OAuth, JWT), versioning and error flows.
• Good understanding of DB systems (relational/non-relational), data modelling and data transformation logic.
• Knowledge of CI/CD in integration context, deployment automation, containers/cloud infrastructure.
• Strong problem-solving skills, ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues, work with latency, batching, volume processing.
