About The Team
The Excellence Engineering team is a newly formed group dedicated to driving customer success through proactive and responsive engineering support. This team handles complex engineering escalations and partners closely with product and support teams to deliver high-impact solutions.
Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned engineering leader to join as AVP and lead a team of skilled engineers in managing escalations, reviewing customizations, and driving innovation through automation and observability. This is a senior role requiring deep technical expertise, strong leadership, and a customer-first mindset.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers handling engineering escalations for the Charles River IMS platform.
- Review and approve small-scale design and customization requests.
- Own and manage escalations involving direct customer interaction.
- Troubleshoot complex issues across large-scale Java and C# codebases.
- Leverage observability platforms (e.g., Dynatrace, SolarWinds) for application and database monitoring.
- Drive automation initiatives using AI tools to streamline engineering workflows.
- Enhance customer feedback loops through observability insights.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, support, and cloud teams.
- Ensure timely resolution of issues while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
- Proven experience leading engineering teams in a customer-facing capacity.
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills in Java and C# environments.
- Hands-on experience with observability tools (e.g., Dynatrace).
- Familiarity with Azure cloud services and architecture.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of financial domain concepts and workflows.
- Exposure to AI-driven automation tools and practices.
