Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Manual QA Engineer with 5-7 years of experience in testing web applications and eCommerce applications. The ideal candidate will have experience with eCommerce platforms such as Magento, Adobe Commerce, and Shopify, along with a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle, excellent analytical skills, and a keen eye for detail. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality product releases.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for web applications including eCommerce.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing on eCommerce platforms like Magento, Adobe Commerce, and Shopify.
• Identify, document, and track software defects, ensuring they are resolved.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide feedback.
• Participate in requirements and design review meetings to provide QA input.
• Perform cross-browser and cross-platform testing to ensure compatibility.
• Work closely with the development team to understand the implementation and report on testing progress.
• Validate and verify fixes for defects and track issues to closure.
• Ensure adherence to QA best practices and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
• Provide detailed test reports and documentation for each release cycle.
  
  

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in manual testing of web applications.
• Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and practices.
• Experience in testing eCommerce platforms like Magento / Adobe Commerce / Shopify.
• Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases and test plans.
• Hands-on experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, ClickUp).
• Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and client-server architecture.
• Experience in testing RESTful APIs and understanding of HTTP/HTTPS protocols.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience with automated testing tools like Selenium.
• Knowledge of performance/load testing tools like JMeter.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Basic understanding of SQL and database testing.
• ISTQB or other relevant certification.
