Reporting to the Principal Product Manager - Analytics, you will:

Own a multi-year roadmap that pushes the boundaries of utility analytics, BI, and AI‑powered decision support at scale.

Define and prioritize extensible platform features—including analytics capabilities and application-layer products—with robust APIs and integrations tailored to the diverse needs of utility ecosystems.

Collaborate with globally distributed engineering, data science, UX, and GTM teams to deliver scalable, interoperable analytics solutions.

Translate high-level business goals into technical requirements and measurable Business KPIs tied to decarbonization, grid‑operations outcomes, Load shift metrics and Product KPIs including user engagement and product adoption

Demonstrate strong B2B SaaS product judgment—grounded in an understanding of SaaS principles, go-to-market alignment, and product packaging to drive adoption and growth.

Show a strong bias for action, with preference for 0→1 product experience; able to move quickly, validate early, and balance speed with strategic depth.

Key Responsibilities

Product Execution & Delivery

Convert epics into detailed user stories with clear acceptance criteria; manage sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and delivery milestones.

Drive quarterly release cycles from beta to GA—including post-launch instrumentation and customer telemetry analysis—to ensure high-quality, usage-ready releases.

Partner with Marketing and Sales to craft positioning, collateral, and launch strategies that emphasize carbon-reduction, load flexibility, and measurable customer impact.

Work closely with the Strategy and Growth team to develop concept brochures and early collateral to validate the market propensity of new features before full-scale development.

Collaborate with the Customer Onboarding and Delivery teams to ensure successful field deployment and adoption of new product capabilities.

Partner with Customer Success Managers (CSMs) to engage clients, validate product value, and convert demonstrated impact into measurable proof points.

Technical Collaboration & Development

Work closely with Designers to build a cohesive, element-based SaaS platform experience—championing modular design systems and acting as a gatekeeper for SaaS UX principles during specification and functional detailing.

Collaborate closely with Engineering and Data Science to design scalable data pipelines, intuitive dashboards (Looker, Tableau, Power BI), and robust RESTful APIs for operational analytics.

Contribute to technical design decisions—reviewing specs, validating outputs against real-world utility workflows, and balancing scalability, extensibility, and performance.

Rapidly prototype new visualization approaches or ML-powered features to validate hypotheses and accelerate innovation.

Enable interoperability by integrating utility analytics platforms with external enterprise systems (e.g., DERMS, Power Flow Modelling, Marketing automation) via APIs or other form of integration

Data Analysis & Performance Measurement

Define and own key product KPIs—such as dashboard engagement, feature adoption, Retention, forecast accuracy and Qualitative use cases from the tool and Key Business KPIs such as Load shift, Program engagement etc to drive product decisions and roadmap reprioritization.

Product Strategy & Vision

Conduct structured market, policy, and competitive analysis to identify strategic bets and innovation opportunities across the utility analytics landscape.

Monitor industry shifts—including DER adoption, AMI 2.0 evolution, load flexibility mandates, and regulatory trends—to shape a forward-looking 18-month product vision aligned with market needs and platform evolution.

Craft and refine differentiated value propositions—such as EV load-shaping insights or demand forecasting accelerators—and co-develop them with early-adop utility partners.

Translate insights into compelling vision artifacts, investment justifications, and strategic narratives that inform prioritization, positioning, and cross-functional alignment.

Roadmap Planning & Prioritization

Maintain a transparent, outcome-driven roadmap that balances near-term customer needs with long-term strategic bets and innovation initiatives.

Ensure roadmap priorities are grounded in a diverse set of inputs—including company strategy, product OKRs, market feedback from Sales and Executives, insights from current utility clients, and both primary (e.g., interviews) and secondary (e.g., industry reports) market research.

Apply structured prioritization frameworks (e.g., RICE, MoSCoW, Opportunity Scoring) to evaluate trade-offs across technical feasibility, business impact, and user value.
