Job Summary
We’re looking for a Senior People Operations Partner to join our dynamic People team and take ownership of key operational pillars including benefits administration, compensation processes, vendor management, onboarding, and development programs. You’ll play a critical role in shaping employee experience and supporting scalable people processes as we continue to grow in India. You’ll work cross-functionally with People Business Partners, Finance, Legal, IT, and external vendors to ensure seamless operations and compliance across the board.
Job Duties
TThe expected earnings for this role could be comprised of a base salary and other forms of cash compensation, such as bonus or commissions as applicable.
This pay range is just one component of MX’s total rewards package. MX takes a number of factors into account when determining individual starting pay, including job and level they are hired into, location, skillset, peer compensation.
In this role, a significant aspect of the job involves working in the office for a standard 40-hour workweek. We believe that the collaborative nature of our work and the face-to-face interactions among team members are essential for fostering a dynamic and productive work environment. Being present in the office enables seamless communication, facilitates quick decision-making, and encourages spontaneous collaboration that contributes to the overall success of our projects. You’ll play a critical role in shaping employee experience and supporting scalable people processes as we continue to grow in India. You’ll work cross-functionally with People Business Partners, Finance, Legal, IT, and external vendors to ensure seamless operations and compliance across the board.
Job Duties
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve our onboarding program to align with company goals and values.
- Identify areas for process improvement and automation within the onboarding workflow to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure all onboarding processes adhere to legal requirements and industry regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and documentation.
- Collaborate with legal counsel and the People leaders to implement and communicate compliance policies and procedures.
- Manage and maintain HR data in our HRIS system, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinating the completion of all required employee paperwork, such as tax forms, benefits enrollment, and direct deposit information.
- Administer employee benefits programs (health insurance, wellness, leave, etc.) and act as a point of contact for employee queries.
- Support the implementation and refinement of compensation programs, salary structures, and incentive plans in alignment with global compensation philosophy.
- Conduct benchmarking and support salary review cycles in partnership with People and Finance teams.
- Own the monthly payroll cycle including data collation, validation, processing, and coordination with finance and payroll vendors, while ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
- Manage relationships with third-party HR and benefits vendors including brokers, background check agencies, and payroll partners.
- Oversee vendor SLAs, compliance, and service quality, and lead periodic performance reviews and contract renewals.
- Manage the background check process for new hires, liaising with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate screenings.
- Process Optimization & Compliance
- Ensure all People Ops processes align with India-specific labor laws and internal policies.
- 5–8 years of progressive experience in People Operations, HR Shared Services, or a related field, ideally with exposure to tech/startup environments.
- Deep understanding of India labor laws, employee benefits landscape, and HR compliance requirements.
- Strong experience managing HR vendors and driving process improvements.
- Excellent project management and stakeholder collaboration skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Familiarity with HRIS tools (e.g., Workday) and ticketing or case management systems.
- Experience in a global organization or supporting cross-functional teams across geographies.
- Analytical mindset with comfort in working with HR data and compensation metrics.
- HR certification is a plus.
