Your role and responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced .NET Developer to join our team and support our digitalization initiative. In this role, you will lead the customization, deployment, and optimization of ABB's Manufacturing Digitalization Platform (MDP). You will act as a senior technical expert, bridging communication between suppliers, factories, and internal teams, ensuring scalable, efficient, and reliable digital solutions that drive operational excellence across global manufacturing sites.

The work model for the role is: hybrid ;

The role is contributing to the IEC LV Motors division in globally.

The location of the role will be Finland (Vaasa), India (Faridabad, Bangalore) or China (Shanghai).

Willingness to travel is required (up to 20%).

You will be mainly accountable for:

• System Optimization: Configuring, enhancing, and managing system features, workflows, integrations, and reporting functionalities to align with business and operational needs.
• Deployment & Technical Expertise: Overseeing deployments across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments using containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and modern DevOps practices.
• Collaboration & Troubleshooting: Acting as a subject matter expert, providing strategic guidance, resolving complex issues, and ensuring smooth coordination between suppliers, manufacturing sites, and stakeholders.
• Performance, Security & Training: Continuously optimizing platform performance, enhancing security and compliance, minimizing downtime, and developing training materials for effective adoption.
  
  

Qualifications for the role

• 7+ years of experience in .NET development and significant hands-on experience with Angular.
• Proficient in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), cloud/hybrid deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems (Git).
• At least 3 years of experience in MES or manufacturing digitalization environments is a plus.
• Knowledge of web technologies and frameworks (preferably Javascript/Typescript and Angular)
• Experience with unit testing frameworks
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• Demonstrated expertise in customizing and integrating complex manufacturing digitalization platforms.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working in global, cross-functional teams in complex organizations.
• Experience in project management is a plus.
• Fluent English language skills.
