The Opportunity

The Senior Finance Business Partner - Corporate acts as a strategic advisor and delivers financial insight to senior managers within corporate functions, enhancing performance, promoting accountability, and supporting organisational objectives.

Reporting to the Finance Director based in London, the role will be pivotal in supporting the planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities of the Corporate functions, as well as providing interpretation and insight into drivers of performance and results. The chosen candidate will also be be confident in presenting their insights to the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Executive Officer.

A close relationship with the Group Financial Control team to ensure that the corporate departments are properly understood, and appropriate accounting treatments applied will be essential.

The Specifics

As the Senior Finance Business Partner - Corporate, this role is a key to ensuring financial accountability of the Corporate Functions.

  • The ability to work under virtual team construct across multiple countries and to handle broad responsibilities that may involve a variety of strategic, operational, people, commercial, or financial challenges will be key to success in the role.
  • This role will provide the lead in preparation and providing insights to management such as departmental reports and MBRs.
  • Have questioning commercial insight into business drivers, and the financial consequences of strategic choices.
  • Provide commentary and overview of monthly and periodic performance, as well as for forecasts, strategy, and plan.
  • Actively contribute to the development and execution of the Company’s objectives, business plans and strategic priorities.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders across the Group, including the Corporate Function budget holders and the Group Financial control team.

  • Ability to build relationships and truly partner with your stakeholders.
  • An autonomous self-starter – you are proactive and like a challenge.
  • 8-12 years of combined accounting and finance experience in senior positions
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, IFRS and procedures
  • Ability to understand complex business issues and deal with ambiguity, incomplete information and business decisions involving material financial sums.
  • Reflective and learning mindset, with the ability to self-analyse, seek feedback from others and learn from outcomes or processes that turn out differently (good or bad) from that expected.
  • A post-graduate accounting qualification
