About The Team
At Nutanix, you will be part of the Core Infra team consisting of 15 dedicated individuals based in Bangalore. The team culture emphasizes unity and a shared focus on achieving goals, fostering collaboration and innovation. Working closely together, team members value each other's contributions and support one another in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
You will report to the Director of Engineering at Nutanix. The work setup is hybrid, allowing for flexibility and a healthy work-life balance. As a new hire, you will be expected to work from the office two days a week, ensuring face-to-face interactions with your team members and promoting a sense of camaraderie and community within the Core Infra team.

Your Role
- Design and develop next generation one-click cluster lifecycle management capabilities in the core Nutanix distributed cluster.
- Ability to deliver on key projects with a solid plan, good quality and execution focus
- Architect software with clean interfaces and APIs with other components and strive to launch them as a set of microservices
- Ability to drive clarity for the team by prioritizing across different stakeholders and projects
- Closely research and monitor developments in open source software communities in the distributed cluster management areas
- Interact with other teams across the system software stack to clearly communicate and express your requirements and design
- Architect and Design Microservices in a virtualized environment
- Excellent design skills in any one of C/C++, Go, Python
- Very strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate and solve difficult problems spanning across multiple teams
- Ability to plan the development needs of the team - career planning
- Ability to execute efficiently by delegation and enabling the team
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving, agile environment
- Bachelor’s or Master’s/PhD (preferred) in Computer Science
- 15+ years of industry experience or equivalent research experience
