Overview Of The Role

As a Senior Engineer - Test Automation, you will be responsible for developing, participating, automating test cases, conducting meticulous tests, producing comprehensive reports, as well as working effectively with the team.

Your expertise will contribute to optimising the development process, ensuring the applications meet the highest standards of quality, functionality, and user experience.

Job Responsibilities

• Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in test automation and recommend improvements to the testing process.
• Develop and implement robust automation frameworks tailored to stakeholder requirements.
• Identify end-to-end use cases for the automation suite.
• Create, update, and manage test plans, cases, scripts, and automation for all layers of application testing.
• Execute performance and regression testing using automation tools to evaluate the application's performance under various conditions.
• Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews.
• Contribute to code reviews by providing feedback on testability and automation best practices.
• Collaborate with cross -functional teams to analyse and understand application requirements, identifying potential gaps in same.
• Provide mentorship to the team, help them grow in their technical responsibilities.
  
  

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5 to 8 years of overall experience in QA testing with minimum 3+ years experience in Automation Testing.
• Experience in developing and implementing automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver/Selenide for web application testing.
• Expertise in implement testing frameworks such as Cucumber/Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
• Should have executed test plans and test cases to validate software functionality and automated tests using TestNG.
• Strong experience in Java programming language to enhance and maintain automation frameworks.
• Well-versed in designing and implementing automated test scripts for API testing with tools such as Postman, Swagger, and RestAssured.
• Must possess experience with Git commands and workflows.
• Strong understanding of the STLC and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes and a solid understanding of SQL concepts.
• Communicate effectively with team members to convey test results and address any issues.
