- Production planning and scheduling:
- Collaborate with production teams to create detailed production schedules for precast concrete components based on project requirements and delivery deadlines.
- Allocate tasks to yard crew, including crane operators, ground crew, and detailers, based on workload and skillset.
- Quality control:
- Conduct regular quality checks on precast concrete components to ensure compliance with specifications and industry standards.
- Monitor curing processes and identify any potential quality issues.
- Address quality concerns and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Yard operations management:
- Optimize yard space by effectively storing and organizing precast concrete components.
- Manage the movement of precast components within the yard using cranes and other lifting equipment.
- Coordinate loading and unloading of trucks to ensure efficient delivery schedules.
- Safety compliance:
- Enforce strict safety protocols within the yard to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Conduct regular safety training sessions for yard crew.
- Monitor work areas for potential hazards and address safety concerns promptly.
- Inventory management:
- Maintain accurate records of all precast concrete components in the yard.
- Track inventory levels and identify potential stock shortages.
- Coordinate with the production team to ensure timely replenishment of inventory.
- Staff supervision:
- Lead and motivate the yard crew to achieve production goals and maintain high standards.
- Assign tasks, delegate responsibilities, and provide performance feedback to yard personnel.
- Address employee concerns and resolve any issues promptly.
- Maintenance and repairs:
- Oversee routine maintenance of yard equipment, including cranes, forklifts, and lifting gear.
- Coordinate necessary repairs and maintenance with relevant service providers.
