Global Markets Group is the offshoring arm of Morgan Stanley’s Sales & Trading businesses in India. It covers functions across IED ranging from those associated with sales, trading, analytics, Strat’s to risk management.
Primary Responsibilities
The candidate will be based out of Mumbai and will be primarily working with the Corporate Derivatives Desk Trading (Hong Kong/Singapore) along with regular support to Convertible Bonds Desk. The role suits a self-motivated, highly energetic individual who has a strong background in Financial Research / Trading Support & Analytics. The role offers great opportunity to the candidates to build on their knowledge of and exposure to Equity Derivative products, risks as well as valuation.
The role also offers a unique opportunity of exposure into Derivative Trade Pricing, Quantitative / financial analysis across varied industries/sector combined with working on trading related activities for the desk.

Responsibilities For This Role Would Involve
- Work on uplifting front end Derivatives pricing sheets, cross checking and back testing strategies.
- Providing detailed Quantitative Analysis &/or Financial Analysis.
- Assist in trading desk in activities like trade bookings, TLC process, including setups.
- Checking of trade bookings, working with collateral and operations teams on reconciliations.
Skills Required (essential)
- BMS/Engineers Graduates with MBAs and/or CFA (preferred but not must)
- 1-6 years’ work experience in Quantitative / Financial analysis roles, within Banking/Financial Services firms
- Experience in Python and/or SQL must.
- Coursework/Strong understanding in Finance & Derivatives
- Good communication skills – written as well as telephonic. There will be regular communication with the trading desk and the person needs to be able to understand the requirements and express their thoughts clearly.
- High level of attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Office products – Excel, PowerPoint
