Responsibilities
- Monitor user activity, network events, and signals from security tools to identify events.
- Fine-tune SIEM rules to reduce false positives and remove false negatives.
- Escalate validated and confirmed incidents to the designated incident response team.
- Responsible for determining which alerts and other anomalous activity represent real threats.
- Remediate attacks and Triage on general information security tickets.
- Collect data for more analysis, evaluate the attack, identify the root of the attack, implement required security actions to counter the attack, and restore system operations.
- Responsible for investigating and generating reports on information security issues.
- Support a range of activities, such as coding, testing, debugging, documentation, integration, and maintenance of automated solutions.
- Cross-functional collaboration, and work on various types of automated/manual cyber security projects.
- Display a real passion for information security and the intricacies of hardening and securing systems and networks.
- Knowledge of SIEM (Security Information and Event Management).
- Expertise in TCP/IP, computer networking, routing, and switching IDS/IPS, penetration and vulnerability testing Firewall, and intrusion detection/prevention protocols.
- Knowledge of Windows, UNIX, and Linux operating systems.
- Expertise in TCP/IP network traffic, event log analysis, and other network protocols and packet analysis tools.
- Knowledge of Anti-virus and anti-malware.
