The Sales Manager – Key Accounts (North) India for Leica Biosystems is responsible for developing and executing key account strategies to drive revenue growth for our current and “next generation” range of HI, AS and PI and strengthen relationships with high-value customers.

This position is part of the Leica Biosystem located in Delhi and will be remote. At Leica Biosystems, our vision is to advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives.

You will be a part of the Sales Team and report to the National Sales Manager, India responsible for driving significant revenue and profit growth through effective management of sales & marketing activities in India. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Build strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers at Key accounts and oversee and support negotiations for major contracts, pricing, and service agreements.
  • Achieve sales targets from Key Accounts (KAMs) to execute strategies effectively by ensuring cross-functional alignment (sales, marketing, supply chain, finance) to support key account needs.
  • Drive upselling and cross selling of the products portfolio, Track and analyze key account performance, sales trends, and profitability by using data to adjust strategies, anticipate customer needs, and identify new opportunities.
  • Use industry insights to refine key account strategy and maintain competitive advantage.
  • Develop custom account plans with clear revenue, margin, and partnership goals as well as forecast long-term needs and develop roadmaps for mutual growth.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • 8+ years of sales experience, with a proven track record in national or regional sales management in the medical devices, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or life sciences sector is highly preferred and 5+ years of key account management experience, managing large, strategic clients and complex negotiations.
  • Deep expertise in building account plans, mapping stakeholders, and driving account growth with strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Strong ability to develop and execute sales and key account strategies with an understanding of market trends, customer segmentation, and competitive dynamics.
  • Strong understanding of pricing, margin management, and profitability analysis with experience in developing win-win value propositions and contracts.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate national or regional sales teams and the ability to work cross-functionally (marketing, finance, supply chain) to meet key account needs.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to travel within India for 50% of the time

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Science, Medical Technology, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in sales, with a preference for experience in the healthcare or diagnostics industry. Experience in pathology, laboratory equipment, or medical device sales is highly desirable.
  • Deep understanding of pathology products, laboratory diagnostics, and medical technologies.
  • Proven sales track record with the ability to achieve and exceed sales targets with excellent communication, presentation, analytical, problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in using SFDC, CRM software, Microsoft Office, and other sales tools.
