Site Overview

Established in 2000, the John F. Welch Technology Center (JFWTC) in Bengaluru is our multidisciplinary research and engineering center. Engineers and scientists at JFWTC have contributed to hundreds of aviation patents, pioneering breakthroughs in engine technologies, advanced materials, and additive manufacturing.

Roles Overview

• Conceptual, or theoretical activities relating to the development, improvement, of inspection technology
• Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy.
• In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
• Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.

Ideal Candidate

Should have experience in Industrial inspection technologies using X-ray, Ultrasound and specifically inverse problem and signal processing using these modalities.

Required Qualifications

• M.Tech with 5+ years experience or PhD in Mechanical, Material Science.
• This role requires advanced experience in one or many of the Engineering/Technology including X-ray imaging, Ultrasound imaging specifically signal processing and inverse problem using these modalities.
