Quality Assurance Tech I, PaSS - VAR

Description

Want to join a startup team building new Alexa experiences for hospitality and other out-of-home segments? Customers tell us they love the convenience of Alexa and smart home, and we want to extend those experiences to shared living spaces such as rentals, assisted living and more.

As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will work closely with our developers, product managers, and other QA team members to ensure the quality and reliability of our products. You will have a passion for quality and a commitment to providing our customers with the best possible experience.

We will help you grow your already awesome skills by finding inventive ways to solve seemingly impossible problems. We'll leverage our camaraderie and strong culture to break down walls to find solutions that challenge our original assumptions, make the decisions, and deliver a final product that's superior to the proposals we started with.

Key job responsibilities

• Execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for new and existing features.
• Identify, document, and track bugs and issues using appropriate tools.
• Work closely with developers to understand features and provide timely feedback.
• Conduct regression testing and ensure that issues are resolved before product release.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define quality goals and metrics.
• Ability to understand the test plan in detail and derive black box test cases for the features.
• Provide input on improving QA processes and methodologies.
• Ability to install/configure software builds, run automation script, fluency in log retrieval through provided tools
• Collaborate effectively with stakeholders in different time zones.
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to fast-changing business requirements.
  
  

Basic Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience with manual and automated testing.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of tools like Testrail, Postman, and Jira
• Testing Cycle knowledge
• Experience designing and planning test conditions, test scripts, and test data
