Quality Assurance Specialist- Valves

Job Summary

Incumbent of this role will be part of Global Manufacturing Operations team and will report to Quality Assurance Engineer. This position will be based at our Bangalore office. This position will be responsible for validating that quality control documentation data is accurate and meets the purchase order and engineering requirements of our Houston, USA factory. Support Quality system upkeep by revising procedures per functional lead input to ensure proper data is collected to meet purchase order and engineering requirements. Preparation of final product documentation packets per customer requirements and confirmation that data is accurate and meets Purchase Order Requirements.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Verify the data accuracy of vendor documents (inspection reports, MTRs, NDE reports, test reports) per the PO/ specification for conformance
• Review Purchase order and understand all the requirements of the Purchase Order
• Preparation of final product documentation packets per customer requirements and confirmation that data is accurate and meets Purchase Order Requirements
• Analyse data sources to identify discrepancies, patterns and trends.
• Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze data quality.
• Identify root causes of data quality issues and work with stakeholders to resolve them.
• Create nonconformance reports in SAP if any discrepancies noted
• Ensure that documentation data review is completed within 24hrs of receipt.
• Upload all the reports into the Document Management tool
• Develop data quality metrics and monitor performance.
• May be assigned other duties as required to meet company and departmental needs.
  
  

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Analyzing data.

• Advanced technical skill knowledge required
• Capable of reading Engineering drawings and verify the dimensional reports for conformance.
• Knowledge with ASTM/ASME/API material specifications for review of vendor MTRs is mandatory
• Knowledge in reviewing NDE reports for conformance
• Knowledge of reviewing assembly and test reports for conformance
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• SAP experience is preferred
• Experience in Technical writing and administering department procedures is preferred
  
  

Education and Experience

• 2-5 years related experience in a quality control documentation with industrial organization. Preference will be given to candidate from Valve product line background and MNC.
• Diploma/B.E mechanical/industrial/production engineering in full time regular course from recognised university and institute in India
• Should be able to communicate fluently in English with external and internal stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
