Quality Assurance Engineer - III, Alexa Device QA

Description

We are seeking a talented Senior QA Engineer to help shape the future of Alexa device automation. In this role, you would design and implement next-generation testing solutions for Alexa device automations.

You will collaborate with cross-functional team of Quality Assurance Managers, Senior Software Development Engineers in Test, Software Developers, Program Managers, QA Engineers, and Hardware Engineers to architect and deliver robust automation frameworks and testing solutions.

Key job responsibilities

This is a high-impact role that owns organizational level quality improvements driven through automations.

As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you will drive new quality and automation initiatives, design new test frameworks and processes for testing Alexa devices software. You will establish quality metrics and best practices for many teams in Alexa organisation. You will bring new ideas and innovate to build/leverage as needed. You will be responsible for looking to the future and identifying what the team will need.

A day in the life

• Drive organizational-level quality improvements through innovative automation solutions and establish quality metrics across Alexa teams
• Design and develop scalable test automation frameworks and reusable components for Alexa devices software testing
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with development teams, hardware engineers, and product managers to ensure comprehensive testing coverage
• Establish testing standards, best practices, and processes while mentoring QA engineers across teams
• Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks while evaluating and integrating new testing tools and technologies
• Analyze test results, provide actionable insights, and create detailed reports on quality metrics for stakeholders
• Identify future testing needs and proactively develop solutions to address upcoming challenges while fostering a culture of innovation
  
  

Basic Qualifications

• 6+ years of quality assurance engineering experience
• 4+ years of delivering test frameworks, test tools, leading the QA projects and initiatives experience
• Knowledge of QA methodology and tools, with demonstrated experience in an QAE role
• Experience in automation testing
• Experience scripting or coding
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience programmatically testing products, measuring test coverage, developing the best automation, driving testability and diagnostic
