Responsibilities
- Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents.
- Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases for web-based applications.
- Estimate, prioritize, plan, and execute testing activities efficiently.
- Identify, document, and track bugs using JIRA/Confluence.
- Perform thorough regression testing to confirm bug fixes and prevent new issues.
- Track quality assurance metrics such as defect density and open defect counts.
- Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using open-source tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Automate repetitive test cases to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Work with CI/CD pipelines to integrate automated tests into the development workflow.
- Optimize and maintain automation frameworks for better scalability.
- Stay up to date with new automation tools and industry trends to enhance testing strategies.
- Graduate degree in a relevant field.
- Understanding of software testing methodologies (manual and automation).
- Familiarity with both functional and non-functional testing.
- Experience with manual testing of web and mobile applications.
- Strong knowledge of automation testing frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Proficiency in writing test scripts using programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Java.
- Experience with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured) is a plus.
- Familiarity with SQL and database queries.
- Exposure to performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner is a plus.
- Understanding of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Customer-facing experience is a plus.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new tools and processes.
