Your impact

The Sales Operations Proposal Manager provides pursuit and bid leadership for complex proposals, client accounts or services within a specific market or solution area; and instils an inclusive culture within the team that values diversity of thought and lives Jacobs’ Culture of Caring. You need to be effective at bringing the ideas of others to market; have good judgment about which ideas and suggestions work; and be able to manage the work winning and creative process of others.

As Sales Operations Proposal Manager you facilitate and lead the application of the end-to-end Relationship-Based Sales (RBS) process to help position Jacobs to win large / complex opportunities and develop meaningful client relationships. You will challenge Sales Directors, Sales Leads and Capture Managers/Operations to develop distinctive value propositions that enhance Jacobs’ competitive position. You will leverage your regional and global network to identify and put forward Jacobs’ unique capabilities and resources; and will organize, direct, and motivate multidisciplinary opportunity teams to develop sales deliverables for specific proposals.

The Sales Operations Proposal Manager works autonomously and has the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. In order to be successful, you will be a self-starter, develop creative solutions to tackle challenges, create a team environment and support others.

Responsibilities

  • Champion and lead the implementation of our Relationship-Based Sales (RBS) methodology – especially in Middle Game and End Game for Tier 2 & 3a pursuits
  • Apply best practice RBS process to pursuits
  • Work with Sales Leads and Capture Managers/Operations to develop B&P estimate, gain approval, regularly monitor B&P spending, and report any significant variances.
  • Ensure sales process and close-out procedures comply with requirements for SOX and ISO certification, as required. Particularly in relation to governance and recording of Go/No-Go decisions and Green Reviews
  • Develop understanding in review of client terms & conditions, pricing strategies and Jacobs’ financial metrics.
  • Work within core Sales Systems and Tools (e.g. CSP, CDRS, SharePoint and Knowledge Centre)


Here's what you'll need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or any relevant Degree with around 10+ years of experience.
