Job Description

  • Effectively Manage the execution of network projects across the globe from an offshore location
  • Overall responsibility to manage, control & deliver projects on time & within budget as per the Project Charter
  • Experience in key project management areas like development of Project Plans, procurement, co-ordination, monitoring & tracking, stakeholder communication & progress reporting
  • Co-ordination with various functional teams viz Network Engineering, Operations, Commercial, Procurement, Provisioning & Technical support teams located across the globe & in different time zones
  • Conduct periodic meetings with stakeholder teams to review track, monitor & report progress on projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Estimation of resources & services costs that form part of the CER.
  • Create Capital Expenditure Request (CER) for projects involving new network infrastructure build or capacity expansion.
  • Development of Integrated Project plans & continuous monitoring, controlling of the same unto completion.
  • Procurement management on projects which includes obtaining quotes & issue of purchase requisitions in the financial system.
  • Monitoring the delivery of the ordered equipment to the sites by co-ordinating with vendors/Freight-forwarders.
  • Manage the installation & commissioning of the network elements at sites with the support of the Field Ops team or vendors.
  • Support & ensure the build-up of the equipment in the Inventory management system.
  • Obtain acceptance or certification of the project deliverables or Network elements from the designated team.
  • Conduct periodic meetings with various functional teams to review, monitor & report progress on projects to the stakeholders.
  • Documentation & Sharing of Lessons learned on Key Projects.

Desired Qualifications & Experience

  • B.E./ B Tech in Electronics & Telecommunications
  • 7-12 years of work experience in Telecommunications of which at least 1-2 years of relevant experience is in the Project Management field
  • Good understanding/experience of IP/Transport technology projects is preferred
  • Excellent Communication & Inter-personal skill-sets. Fluency in English is a must for this position
  • Experience in Supplier Co-ordination and order delivery, Stakeholder management, resources & vendor management.
  • Experience in using Project Management software: MS projects
  • Trained on PMBOK or PMP certified is preferred
