In this role, you will support marketing for Google Play Books as well as Google Play brand marketing efforts. You will partner with internal and external stakeholders to craft messaging and develop programs that engage consumers, partners and advisors. You will be telling stories across a variety of mediums (e.g., video, blog posts, social, presentations, etc). You will be managing multiple priorities and can thrive in ambiguity, and put an emphasis on tracking progress against defined goals.Google Play offers music, movies, books, apps and games for devices, powered by the cloud. It syncs across devices and on the web. As part of the Android and Mobile team, Googlers working on Google Play do everything from engineering our backend systems, to shaping product strategy, to forming great content partnerships. They make it possible for people to do things like buy an ebook or song on their Android phone, then have it instantly available on their laptop. The Google Play team enhances the Android ecosystem by giving developers and partners a premium store where they can reach millions of users.
Responsibilities
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience in marketing with working across one or more marketing fields (e.g., growth marketing, product marketing, brand marketing, social).
- Experience in managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
- Experience in marketing, technology, publishing, or a related field.
- Ability to work with ambiguity and self-directing projects in an unstructured environment.
- Excellent program management and communication skills with ability to manage projects across multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent problem solving and investigative skills with the ability to translate analysis to communications.

Responsibilities
- Plan and execute go-to-market strategies for new product, program and feature launches. Craft product messaging and positioning, and recommendations for product improvements based on user insights and market analysis.
- Develop external communications, including event narratives, blog posts, and other marketing collateral.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand the engagement, consumer insights and positioning, and product performance.
- Work with regional and local marketing teams to communicate marketing goals and objectives and ensure global campaign alignment.
- Advocate developers or publishers in the region, showcasing the unique market nuances of this region through insights and shepherding product and brand development that can serve the needs of audience.
