We are seeking a highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented Product Compliance Researcher to join our Bangalore team and support compliance initiatives for our portfolio of products serving the U.S. healthcare market. This role involves deep research into U.S. healthcare regulations, standards, and data privacy laws, and translating findings into actionable insights for our innovation and operational teams. You will collaborate with global stakeholders to ensure our healthcare IT solutions meet all applicable U.S. regulatory requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Monitor, interpret, and summarize federal and state healthcare regulations and standards bodies (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH, CMS, TJC, NCQA, URAC, state-specific mandates) relevant to our software offerings.
- Share the analysis with multiple internal stakeholder groups and partner with product management to incorporate required compliance features into product roadmaps.
- Partner with product management to translate regulatory requirements into clear, actionable product requirements and user stories, ensuring they are aligned to meet regulatory needs.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and design discussions to ensure compliance requirements are accurately represented in development cycles.
- Identify compliance risks and gaps within product features and work with teams to define appropriate remediation strategies.
- Maintain organized and thorough documentation of regulatory interpretations, product compliance decisions, and implementation status to aid with audit readiness and customer responses.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on healthcare compliance during internal discussions, customer inquiries, and external audits.
- Proven ability to interpret complex healthcare regulations and standards, understand and communicate the implications of those regulations and standards to others, and help product management teams translate regulations and standards into technical and product requirements.
- Excellent analytical, research and communication skills
- Strong knowledge of U.S. healthcare regulatory landscape including payers and providers
- Experience working in or with software development teams in a compliance-driven environment and a highly regulated industry.
- Ability to influence and collaborate across teams without direct authority
- Prior experience in a healthcare software company
- 8+ years of experience in healthcare compliance, regulatory affairs, or healthcare product management.
- Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Public Health, Law, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degree or healthcare-related certifications a plus.
- Familiarity with EHR, practice management, or digital health platforms
- Familiarity with agile development processes and the product development lifecycle
- Solid understanding of data security, interoperability (e.g., FHIR, HL7), and privacy regulations
