Profile Description

We’re seeking someone to join our team as Vice President. The Process Optimization team sits within Technology and serves as an internal consultancy focused on enabling change across the Firm. The team leverages emerging technologies, automation tools, and process improvement methodologies to transform the way Morgan Stanley works—reducing manual processes, improving efficiency, and driving optimization Firmwide.

The Process Optimization team is recruiting for a proactive and security-focused system administrator and development lead who will partner with technology and business teams to ensure the Celonis platform operates securely, efficiently, and in alignment with firm-wide standards.

Innovation_Technology

The Morgan Stanley Labs Team is an (SRE) Site Reliability Engineering team, responsible for the availability, performance, efficiency, change management, monitoring, support and capacity planning of Morgan Stanley Labs. Labs include a significant on-premises data center in NY, as well as large footprint in public cloud, known as the Innovation Lab, governing thousands of assets and resources of a wide variety such as desktops, servers, and network appliances etc., used by almost every group within Moran Stanley Technology. The team performs rapid, safe, evaluation of technology, and is responsible for the strategy, standards and operations of Morgan Stanley's technology labs globally, providing critical services for all phases of the technology lifecycle, from initial research through to production problem post-mortems and investigations. This work also covers all technologies and all of our lines of business, from low latency trading to cloud, AI/ML, data, mobile applications, etc. Each team member in Labs is responsible for Operational Support of Lab users L1, L2 and L3 for Windows, UNIX, Networking and storage issues.

This is Vice President position that oversees and leads the execution of multiple projects and/or programs, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives. Includes program management and related project support roles.

What You’ll Do In The Role

  • Oversee day-to-day system administration to maintain a highly functioning, scalable, and secure Celonis platform
  • Resolve hygiene items and ensure the platform operates within Morgan Stanley’s standards and compliance frameworks
  • Design and manage role-based access controls for Celonis users to ensure appropriate data access and segregation
  • Collaborate with infrastructure teams to enable secure integration of data into Celonis from multiple systems
  • Conduct risk assessments for Celonis implementations and advise on mitigation strategies
  • Enforce data classification standards, including appropriate handling of PII and other sensitive information
  • Investigate and resolve outages or security issues in collaboration with internal infrastructure and support teams
  • Liaise with Celonis vendor teams to coordinate timely application of security patches and updates
  • Advise on new Celonis functionality and lead implementation efforts to enhance platform capabilities
  • Be extremely comfortable working with large transactional data sets and managing them using tools such as Informatica and SQL
  • Mentor and oversee development team to ensure development of process mining use cases are built in a consistent and effective manner

What You’ll Bring To The Role

  • 10 years of experience in system administration or technical development lead roles, preferably within data-intensive environments.
  • At least 6 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise security standards, risk management, and data governance practices
  • Hands-on experience with SQL and data integration tools such as Informatica
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Technology, or related field
  • Proven ability to manage secure platforms and deliver high-value operational improvements
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • High degree of comfort in a fast-paced environment and working across multiple business lines

Desired Skills

  • 3+ years of experience managing Celonis platform( or other comparative process mining platforms) security and administration
  • Experience conducting risk assessments and implementing security controls in enterprise environments
  • Familiarity with data classification frameworks and handling of sensitive data (e.g., PII)
  • Experience working with infrastructure and vendor teams to coordinate platform updates and patching
  • Exposure to Agile Software Development Lifecycle methodology and related tooling (e.g., JIRA, Scrum, Kanban)
  • Understanding of banking and capital markets front-to-back business functions such as Operations, Finance, and Settlements, and their data-centric challenges
