Location: Relaible IT Park, Airoli

Shift timing: 6 am to 3 pm or 11:30 am to 8:30 pm

Job Description:

To assist with activities conducted in the tax function including: tax reporting and tax processes, tax compliance,tax advisory, tax audit defence, liquidity planning and control, management of financial risks, monthly reconciliations for all tax related GL’s and any other ad hoc tasks

Team contribution:

  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors and the general public with a level of service consistent with business needs and expectations.
  • Ensuring a high level of internal and external stakeholder engagement regarding relevant tax matters.
  • Ensuring all communication to staff and outside agencies is professional, timely and supports the best interests of operating company.
  • Positively contributing as a member of the Tax team at meetings and planning sessions and actively promoting collaboration amongst team members.
  • Ensuring that finance team members are aware of tax decisions taken that may impact on their area and are consulted with as appropriate.


Operational Excellence:

  • Identifying and contributing to operational improvement and cost efficiencies through process and system improvements.
  • Adopting functional excellence principles with a view to continuously improve performance.
  • Preparing quarterly and hard close income tax calculations and quarterly and hard close tax group reporting, including tax effect accounting for operating company.
  • Preparing annual income tax returns for operating company.
  • Preparing monthly BAS and fuel tax credit calculations for operating company.
  • Preparing monthly PAYG instalment statements.
  • Preparing annual FBT returns for assigned region
  • Management of information required to prepare FBT returns (e.g. log books etc.).
  • Managing tax payments.
  • Assisting with tax risk management.
  • Assisting with tax planning initiatives.
  • Assisting in any reviews and audits from tax authorities.
  • Ensuring compliance with Holcim local and Group tax policies.
  • Assisting with preparing transfer pricing documentation.
  • Assisting the Head of Tax with ad hoc tax projects.
  • Liaison with country team – Tax and Treasury Head regarding tax compliance matters.


Desired candidate profile:

  • Degree Qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business or Law (Added advantage if holds Tax specialization)
  • Experience in the delivery of Tax
  • An understanding of IFRS
  • Excellent computer skills – Word, Excel, advance excel
  • Knowledge of business accounting principles
  • Analytical skills, problem solving & communication skills.
  • Accounting, integrity and control - Applying and adhering to relevant policies and procedures
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • High degree of independent judgment and discretion.
  • The incumbent may be required to travel as and when to meet the needs of the business.
