PowerPoint (PPT) Designer

Please note: We are a remote-first organization so you can work from anywhere in India. You may be required to travel to our Mumbai office based on business requirements or for company/team events.

We are looking for a PowerPoint (PPT) Designer who can work with us on a contractual basis.

Editage Digital Media Solution works with scientists, universities, organizations, societies, and publishers across more than 150 accounts from around the world. At Impact Science, we work with different stakeholders of the scientific landscape to visualize and disseminate their work. Through our content writing and design services, we convert complex scientific ideas into engaging content and visuals tailored to different audiences. Your role will be to create visually compelling and professionally designed presentations for a variety of projects, including scientific and technical content. You will utilize your design expertise to develop engaging PowerPoint slides, incorporating animation, graphics, and layout techniques to elevate the visual storytelling. Additionally, you will design supplementary materials like flyers, social media banners, infographics, posters, and graphical abstracts using PowerPoint. Your work will involve understanding client briefs, crafting design concepts, and delivering polished presentations that align with the client’s expectations and branding guidelines. If you can read, understand, and work with Japanese, Chinese, and/or Korean content, it will be considered an added advantage.

Responsibilities:

• Develop high-quality PowerPoint presentations with advanced animations, transitions, and layouts to effectively communicate key messages.
• Create graphical abstracts, flyers, social media banners, infographics, and posters in PowerPoint, ensuring consistency across different formats.
• Understand client briefs and objectives, translating requirements into visually engaging presentations and graphical abstracts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including content writers and marketing consultants, to enhance the visual narrative.
• Ensure adherence to design principles, maintaining a clean and professional look across all deliverables.
• Review peers and freelancers’ outputs, providing constructive feedback to ensure quality and delivery-readiness.
  
  

Qualifications And Prerequisites

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in PowerPoint design, creating visually engaging presentations, graphical abstracts, and marketing materials.
• Advanced skills in PowerPoint; familiarity with Adobe Design Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop), Canva or Mind The Graph is an added advantage.
• Expertise in creating visually engaging content, including advanced PowerPoint presentations with animations and transitions, as well as infographics, social media banners, and flyers, while applying design principles of balance, alignment, contrast, and hierarchy.
• Good written/verbal English-language skills and ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to work with autonomy, manage time, prioritize tasks, and coordinate to deliver as per project requirements.
• Strong customer focus and ability to think from a customer’s perspective when working on deliverables, identifying solutions, or implementing quality measures.
