Job Purpose
Monitor & review plant environment parameters, coordinate & facilitate their compliance as per Environment Management System standards & as per Government & statutory Acts, through effective liaison with Govt. agencies and plant people for smooth operation of plant under best environmental conditions.

KRA (Accountabilities) (Max 1325 Characters)Supporting Actions (Max 1325 Characters)
KRA1 1. Compliance of environment requirement. ¿ Organize renewal of consents/ authorization from Govt. bodies for existing and expansions.
¿ Organise periodical measurement of stack emissions, ambient air quality & water quality.
¿ Coordinate & facilitate with all departments for corrective actions.
¿ Periodical submission of reports to Govt. bodies.
¿ Periodical inspection of pollution control equipments (air & water) and organize the corrective actions.
KRA2 2. Environment Management system. ¿ Preparation/ updation of EMS Manual.
¿ Review of action plans of various departments.
¿ Monitoring/ Coordination of various acts connected to environment under EMS.
¿ Organizing periodical audits by internal/ external agencies.
¿ Organizing the Management Review meetings on Environment Management System.
¿ Organize and conduct training programme on EMS and pollution control for all employees & awareness in society.
KRA3 3. Alternate Fuels: ¿ Survey of suppliers of alternate fuels.
¿ Obtaining permission from statutory authorities for agro waste, hazardous waste, paint sludge, tyre chips, etc.
¿ Co-ordination with internal & external agencies for organizing trials.
¿ Follow up with concerned for continuous usage of alternate fuels.
KRA4 4. Environment improvement studies: ¿ Identify studies
¿ Conduct field visits.
¿ Collect data & field measurement
¿ analysis.
¿ Evaluation & recommendation.
¿ Ensure implementation.
¿ Recommend external agency for the studies.
KRA5 5. Liaison: ¿ Liaison with Govt. agencies and Consultants & certification bodies.
¿ Discuss on latest development.
¿ Ensure compliance of legal requirements.
¿ Coordinate for measurement & compilation of data.
¿ Environment promotion schemes.
KRA6 6. System Implementation: ¿ Identify and execute improvement studies and kaizen.
¿ Identify & get rectified.

- To submit Environmental annual audit report to GPCB by 31st Jan 2010. Co ordination with DDIT and related departments in plant
- To facilitate measurement and sending report of stack emissions, ambient air quality & water quality monthly
- To ensure compliance of all legal requirement/ Liasoning with GPCB/MOeF related to environment.
- Submission of reports to Govt. bodies as per schedule (1) Environmental statement for the finacial year(form-V ) Period- Every year in the month of May. (2) Compliance report (Against environmental clearance) Period-Every six month. (3) Hazardous waste details(form-4) Period-Every year in the month of Jan..
- Liaisioning and coordination with govt agencies and Consultants. Pollution Control Boards, DDIT, Royal Consultancy, MoEF, DoEF etc.
- Renewal Authorization of Jetty consolidated consents (CCA) Air,Water &Hazardous waste
- To seek permission from GPCB for storage / handling and usage of alternate Fuels and alternate raw materials of hazardous waste category
- Implementing OHS ( WCM ) in section for Bronze medal
- Organise,coordinate maintenance & ensure effective implementation of ISO 14001 system to improve environment conditions in the plant.Monitoring/Coordination of various acts connected to environment under EMS.
- Bio Diversity Servey for CSI
