The Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) is responsible for managing and maintaining Oracle Server database systems. They handle the installation, configuration, and maintenance of these databases, ensuring their performance, integrity, and security. The DBA collaborates with other IT professionals to implement database changes, troubleshoot issues, and optimize database performance.

Responsibility

• Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle database software and related products.
• Create and maintain database objects, such as tables, indexes, and views, in Oracle databases.
• Design and implement database backup and recovery strategies for Oracle databases to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Monitor and optimize performance of Oracle databases, identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, such as connectivity problems, data corruption, and query optimization.
• Manage database security for Oracle database, including user access control, data encryption, and database auditing.
• Plan and implement database migrations, upgrades, and patching for Oracle databases.
• Collaborate with application developers to design and optimize database schemas and queries for Oracle databases.
• Develop and maintain database documentation, including data models, database diagrams, and operating procedures for Oracle databases.
• Stay up-to-date with Oracle database technology trends, best practices, and industry standards. Willingness to work in nights shifts or support 24 x 7 Coverage as per the Business needs.
