Job Summary

  • Ensure processing of Inward Clearing, Outward clearing under CTS and Salary processing and transfer transactions are done as per SLA within TAT.
  • Ensure accurate posting of transactions in ebbs , e-branch and PSGL within self allotted authorities and for over limit after obtaining the necessary approvals with appropriate vouchers signed off.
  • Ensure error free processing for all WM transactions,S2O application, CBOS system , Account opening process assigned to your job role and avoid any operational loss.
  • Ensure processing & adherence to internal/external policies while reviewing/verifying documents pertaining to Loans, Account Opening and Disbursal related processes.
  • Adherence to the RBI/Regulatory guidelines in case of PIS, NR, FCY, FCRA, WM and CDD while transaction postings.
  • Ensure proper updation of all registers/system updation on a daily basis as applicable.
  • Maintain and provide Mansys data correctly and promptly to the concerned.
  • Record Archival as per laid down process/timelines

  • Assess process health (through key metrics) & identify broken processes that requires redesign
  • Uses customer/stakeholders feedback to continuously re engineer processes

  • Ensure Timely resolution of customer queries & complaints
  • Being client centric understands customers’ requirements, able to apply them and guide other team members

Processes

  • Consistently exceed productivity, accuracy and timeliness norms
  • Identifies and shares best practices within your scope of work with LM/Unit Manager with a view to implementing standardized, simplified and automated processes –minimizing non value-added and duplicated activities, reducing TAT, maximizing paperless processing & deskilling of activities
  • Identify and suggest process improvement through automation, STP and digitization or cost reduction solutions

People & Talent

  • Understands the various components in dept's financials and able to highlight improvement areas including contribution to cost-save measures
  • Good understanding of the various components in the dept's financials and be able to plan initiatives to influence trends

Risk Management

  • Establishes a performance culture around Risk Management using root cause analysis and corrective action planning as key
  • Ensures appropriate follow through of audit findings

Governance

  • elements of operational risk management Proactively identifies, assesses and mitigates risk issues
  • Establishes a clear, well tested continuity plan
  • Manages process requirements of risk mgmt. framework

Regulatory & Business Conduct

  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Lead the Pune / Indore Operations team to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank’s Conduct Principles: [Fair Outcomes for Clients; Effective Financial Markets; Financial Crime Compliance; The Right Environment.]
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Other Responsibilities

  • Embed Here for good and Group’s brand and values in India Operations team Perform other responsibilities assigned under Group, Country, Business or Functional policies and procedures;
  • Job holder is responsible to monitor all the activities of Pune Operations Unit including Liabilities and Lending activities.
  • Job holder is accountable to maintain constant vigil over checks and controls in specific areas including Process system, regulatory guidelines, Internal policies etc and bring out exceptions / gaps in a timely manner in order to remediate and address root causes.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from any stream
  • 1-2 working years experience as a team leader in operations section preferred with specialisation in the unit being deployed
