As a Node js developer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining server-side applications that power our web and mobile applications. You will work closely with front-end developers and other stakeholders to ensure the seamless functioning of our systems

Job Description
We are seeking a talented Node js developer with strong knowledge of MySQL and REST APIs and services to join our dynamic team. As a Node js developer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining server-side applications that power our web and mobile applications. You will work closely with front-end developers and other stakeholders to ensure the seamless functioning of our systems
Responsibilities
- Develop robust and scalable server-side applications using Node js.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and services for data retrieval and manipulation.
- Work closely with the front-end development team to integrate server-side logic with the user interface.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define project objectives.
- Optimize and maintain database schema and queries using MySQL.
- Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms for secure data access.
- Perform code reviews and ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards.
- Debug and troubleshoot application issues, including performance bottlenecks.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in Node js and web development.
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience as a Node js developer with a strong portfolio of relevant projects
- Proficiency in developing RESTful APIs and services using Node js and Express.js
- A solid understanding of MySQL database design and optimisation
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Knowledge of web security best practices, including authentication and authorization mechanisms.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and GraphQL is a bonus
