About The Job

SAS Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) Team is a service organization responsible for providing IT support for our full spectrum of SAS Solutions to Infrastructure & Platform Services. Additionally, the Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) team works with other SAS IT teams to improve our service catalog offerings to our customers including helping to implement next generation technologies. As an Engineer in the SAS Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) team, you will use your communication and technical skills to support internal and external customers in our hosted & internal environment. You will help design, implement, and support a large heterogeneous network environment. You will be responsible for helping to maintain Service Level Agreements and Operational Level Agreements, and improve the performance, reliability, and standardization of our hosted & internal solutions.

Primary Responsibilities For This Role Include

  • Initial Environment Setup for customers - routers, switches, firewall, F5, Azure including complex VPN tunnel test and turnups
  • Moves, add, changes of advanced networking tasks for hosted customers
  • AWS complex network solution setups
  • Network Leveraged Services support - Firewall, F5, VPNs
  • Consult with SAS PMs, CSDMs, and customers on Hosted Network Solutions
  • Escalation Support
  • Support Migrations from old network fabric to new fabric and AWS
  • OS upgrades for Network Devise
  • Reduction of Technical Debt
  • Global Management of Wi-Fi and Any Connect Configuration
  • Address Security Vulnerabilities, Security and Pen Test Findings
  • Audit Evidence response of network environments and configurations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or related quantitative field
  • Minimum 4+ years of experience as an Information Systems Engineer in a heterogeneous, dynamic, customer-focused environment
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills Networking devices such as Firewalls, LBs, VPNs
  • Experience with infrastructure architecture including Servers, Network, Security, Storage and Backup
  • Good working knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS etc.)
  • Participation in a 24x7 on-call rotation schedule.
  • Utilize trouble ticket system (ServiceNow) to address and resolve customer concerns.
  • Develop step-by-step documentation for system support tasks.
  • Experience with Arista and Cisco Nexus/Catalyst switches
  • Experience with AWS networking
  • Experience with F5 LTM/DNS load balancers
  • Experience with Cisco and Palo Alto firewalls
  • Knowledge of EIGRP and BGP routing protocols
  • Experience with networking for virtualized server environments
  • Experience with Cisco and/or Aruba Wireless Networking
  • Experience with Cisco ISE
  • Experience with Cisco AnyConnect and/or Ivanti/PulseSecure Remote Access solutions.

Preferences

  • Collaborative team experience with superior problem-solving skills
  • Ability to triage requests with multiple admin resource groups
  • Understanding best practices around information security and data privacy in relation to system access and availability.
