Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer L2 to join our team and provide advanced network support for our client"s data centers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in networking technologies, static and dynamic routing protocols, and firewall security. This position requires daily interaction with clients, offering insights to remote teams and management, while ensuring the stability, availability, and security of the network infrastructure.

Responsibilities

 Responsibilities:

  • Provide Level 2 network support for team deliverables.
  • Manage and support the client"s entire data center network infrastructure.
  • Interact with the client daily, offering technical insights to remote teams and management.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of static and dynamic routing protocols including EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, static routing, policy-based routing, source-based routing, and BGP attributes.
  • Troubleshoot and support Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching technologies such as VLAN, VTP domain (Server/Client), STP, RSTP, MSTP, Rapid-PVST, Inter-VLAN routing, HSRP, VRRP, and device stacking.
  • Administer and troubleshoot firewall environments, including Inside, Outside, and DMZ zones, policy management, security rules, high availability, cluster configurations, failover setups, and logs monitoring.
  • Perform manual and automated backups of network devices using TFTP and backup tools.
  • Remotely upgrade IOS on switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless LAN controllers.
  • Configure and manage network monitoring tools such as NCM, NPM, Syslog servers, traffic analyzers, and health monitoring systems.
  • Participate in scheduled and monthly maintenance activities, including network backup operations.
  • Job Requirements:
    • Networking Equipment Experience:
      • Cisco Routers and Switches
      • Cisco Wireless Controllers (5500 and 9800)
      • Cisco Access Points
      • Mandatory:
      • Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE),
      • Cisco Firepower Plus Palo Alto or FortiGate firewalls
      • Desired:
      • Cisco SDWAN (Viptela) and Cisco DNA
      • Desired Networking Skills:
      • Rapid7
      • SolarWinds
      • ServiceNow
      • Qualifications:
        • Bachelor (BA, BSC Etc.)
        • 5+ years of experience in networking
        • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
        • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with internal and external teams.
