Network Engineer

About the Role:

A Network Engineer plays a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the company's network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security. Key responsibilities include configuring and managing network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls; monitoring network performance; troubleshooting complex issues; and enforcing security protocols to safeguard company data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain advanced network solutions ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Oversee the configuration and administration of firewalls, routers, switches, and other network devices.
• Monitor and troubleshoot complex network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
• Develop and enforce network security protocols to safeguard company data and infrastructure.
• Lead network infrastructure projects, including upgrades, migrations, and expansions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IT needs and align network strategies with business goals.
• Conduct regular performance assessments and capacity planning for the network.
• Document network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior network engineers.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering roles

Skills & Competencies:

• Proficiency in configuring and managing enterprise-level network equipment (e.g., Cisco, Sophos, Fortinet).
• Expertise in network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, Static Routing, BGP, OSPF) and troubleshooting tools.
• Solid understanding of network security practices, including VPNs, IDS/IPS, and encryption.
• Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure) and SD-WAN technologies is a plus.
• Windows os installation troubleshooting and patch management.
• Printer server setup and configuration.
• CCTV camera installation and configuration.
• Laptop & Desktop hardware-related troubleshooting.
• Wifi installation and configuration ( Fortigate, Aruba, Ruckus )
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
