Education & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business
Administration, or a related field with a focus on oil & gas required.
Experience in the UAE local market is a mandatory requirement.
A minimum of 7 years of procurement experience within the oil & gas construction
industry, with a proven track record of successful sourcing.
Familiarity with local and international procurement regulations and practices specific
to the oil & gas sector is essential.
Proficiency in procurement software and mandatory SAP tools, as well as advanced
Excel skills for data analysis and reporting are necessary.
Strong negotiation skills, coupled with the ability to establish and sustain
relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
Exceptional analytical skills to evaluate supplier proposals effectively and market
conditions.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
simultaneously.
Roles and responsibilities:
Develop and implement procurement strategies tailored to the oil & gas construction
sector, ensuring alignment with project timelines and budgets.
Conduct thorough market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their
capabilities and pricing structures.
Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure the best terms and conditions focusing
on quality, cost, and delivery timelines.
Collaborate with project managers to forecast material needs and guarantee timely
procurement for seamless project execution.
Regularly evaluate supplier performance and maintain a database of metrics to
guide future procurement decisions.
Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess, optimizing the
supply chain for project efficiency.
Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and innovations that could impact
procurement processes and strategies.
Prepare and present procurement reports to stakeholders, highlighting savings,
risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Role: Regional office based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
