Your role

What We Need

Corpay is seeking a Java Module Lead to join our engineering team. This role involves leading the development of Java-based applications, mentoring team members, and owning the delivery of product modules. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, design scalable solutions, and ensure high-quality code delivery aligned with business goals.

Role Responsibilities

What You'll Be Doing

Requirement Analysis & Planning

• Analyze functional requirements and clarify gaps
• Estimate timelines based on complexity and team capabilities
• Create and review mock-ups to refine requirements
• Conduct impact analysis and escalate critical issues
  
  

Development & Coding

• Prepare technical specifications and conduct coding as per design
• Follow coding standards and best practices
• Develop applications using Java, Spring, Hibernate, Apache Camel, and JavaScript frameworks
• Conduct unit testing and fix defects
• Ensure compliance with program standards and technical specifications
  
  

Leadership & Collaboration

• Lead and mentor the development team
• Own and manage assigned product modules
• Attend scheduled meetings and deliver on commitments
• Independently analyze new API integrations and gain domain knowledge
  
  

Documentation & Communication

• Maintain clear documentation of technical processes
• Respond to written and oral communication within timelines
• Support data quality and performance tracking
  
  

Required

Qualifications & Skills

• 5+ years of relevant experience in Java development
• Strong knowledge of Java, Spring Framework, Hibernate
• Experience with MySQL/Postgres, Git, JavaScript
• Familiarity with REST and SOAP web services
• Exposure to Apache Camel
  
  

Preferred

• Experience in Accounting or ERP domain
• Understanding of scripting languages and flexibility to learn new technologies
• Ability to lead modules and mentor junior developers
