Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Lead Mechanical Engineer with 10+ years of experience in high-rise residential or commercial projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in managing MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems with a focus on HVAC, firefighting, plumbing, and elevators for residential and commercial buildings. Experience working with developers and managing high-rise residential or commercial projects is a must.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Execution: Responsible for planning, monitoring, and executing Plumbing, Firefighting, HVAC, and Elevator works at the site.
• Technical Compliance: Ensure all technical aspects of the projects are strictly adhered to, and are in line with the Conditions of Contract, Particular Specifications, General Specifications, Contract Drawings, and BOQ.
• Coordination: Liaise with Consultants, Main Contractors, MEP Contractors, and other subcontractors on-site to ensure smooth project execution.
• Quality Control: Oversee the quality and technical correctness of installations in compliance with the project quality assurance plan, ensuring all works are performed as per specifications and standards. Maintain method statements, regular checklists, etc.
• Meetings & Coordination: Attend regular project meetings to discuss work progress, coordination issues, design elements, and resolve key challenges with consultants, contractors, and the main contractor. Implement effective corrective actions as required.
• Budget & Schedule Management: Monitor project budgets and schedules, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Testing & Commissioning: Implement testing and commissioning plans for MEP systems. Oversee the final handover of systems to the Facility Management Team.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure all work is performed in a safe manner as per the project-specific safety plan and relevant regulations.
  
  

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in MEP execution, specifically in high-rise residential or commercial buildings.
• Strong experience working with developers and contractors on large-scale residential or commercial projects.
• In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and elevators.
• Proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and coordinate effectively across different stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in project management tools and software.
• Strong understanding of quality assurance and safety protocols in MEP project execution.

• Hands-on experience in managing MEP systems on high-rise residential and commercial buildings.
• Knowledge of international standards and codes related to MEP systems.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver within deadlines.
