Your Impact

As a Manufacturing Engineer (ME), you will play a critical role in supporting and leading technical initiatives at Cisco's manufacturing sites. You'll tackle complex engineering challenges, drive process improvements, and champion new technologies to optimize the production of high-end networking equipment. Your expertise will directly impact factory quality, efficiency, and the successful delivery of Cisco products worldwide.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead and support technical problem-solving at manufacturing partner sites for Cisco's advanced networking products.
  • Perform complex manufacturing engineering tasks, leveraging specialized domain knowledge and business experience.
  • Assist in the layout, qualification, and optimization of production and manufacturing lines.
  • Execute capacity planning and management to ensure operational readiness and efficiency.
  • Identify and support the implementation of new technologies for product launches or process improvements.
  • Drive factory quality metrics, including yields, bonepile, quality excursions, cycle time, and process optimization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business unit manufacturing requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and support for manufacturing partners (MPa) on Cisco products.
  • Perform advanced manufacturing engineering tasks, including SMT process, PCBA, and DF assembly support.
  • Plan, qualify, and optimize production lines for new and existing products.
  • Manage capacity planning and ensure efficient manufacturing operations.
  • Identify and implement new technologies to enhance manufacturing processes.
  • Monitor and drive key quality indicators-yields, bonepile, quality excursions, and cycle time.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve tools, technologies, and processes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
  • Experience with SMT Process & Automation, PCBA, and DF assembly/operations.
  • Familiarity with standard processes in manufacturing engineering and related disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting high-end networking equipment manufacturing.
  • Proven ability to drive process and technology improvements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Familiarity with capacity planning and factory optimization techniques.
